Privacy information
This page explains what personal data reaches us when you use nielaspalmas.com, why we use it, how long we keep it and what you may ask us to do with it. It applies the EU’s data protection regulation (the GDPR) and the Spanish law that completes it.
Who looks after your data
NIE Las Palmas, the private service that runs this site. For anything about your data, write to team@nielaspalmas.com.
What you type into a form
We need your name and an email address to reply. Optional: a telephone, your nationality, which service interests you, and a message describing your case. Please do not send copies of passports or other documents through the form: if we need one, we ask for it by email when the time comes.
When a form is sent, our server also logs when it arrived and from which IP address. We use that to block automated spam and repeated abuse.
Why we use it
- To answer your question and, if you ask us to, to prepare your procedure with you. This rests on the steps you request before any agreement, and then on the agreement itself.
- To keep the forms safe from spam and misuse. This rests on our legitimate interest in a site that works.
Advertising plays no part in this, and your data is not for sale.
Others who may handle it
If the help you ask for is provided by a partner firm, we forward your request to that firm so that it can answer you, and for nothing else. Our hosting and email providers process data for us, bound by contracts to keep it secure. Authorities see your data only if you file a procedure with them, or if a legal obligation applies.
Keeping and deleting
A message that goes no further is erased when we no longer need it. When we take on your case, the file stays with us for the period the law sets for this type of work, and is then erased. Security records are short-lived.
What you can ask for
You may see the data we hold on you, have it corrected or erased, limit how we use it or object to that use, and obtain a portable copy. Write to team@nielaspalmas.com; we reply within the GDPR’s time limits. Unhappy with our reply? Spain’s data protection authority, the AEPD (aepd.es), handles complaints.
Cookies
The site only sets the technical cookies needed to send its forms securely. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
