Who helps you

NIE Las Palmas is a private, independent service for foreigners on Gran Canaria. We help with NIE numbers, EU green certificates, TIE cards and the padrón, in plain English, from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to the south of the island.

The island brings together people with very different stories: remote workers in the city, students at the university, families arriving from Latin America and West Africa, Europeans working in the hotels of the south, retirees who chose the sun of Maspalomas or Mogán. Their papers differ, but the offices, the forms and the booking system are the same for everyone.

Our part is the preparation: finding the procedure and the office that fit, filling in the forms with you, helping you with the 790-012 fee, looking for a cita previa and checking your folder before you go. When a question is about tax, labour law or a property, we tell you which kind of professional to see.

No police force, Delegación, Oficina de Extranjería or town hall stands behind this site, and no page of it is an official document. Every step described here is open to you without us: you can deal with the administration yourself and pay nothing beyond its own fees.

How we work with you

• The right desk before the right date. On Gran Canaria the number, the green certificate and the card are not always listed at the same address. We first find the office that handles your procedure, and only then look for the appointment.
• Words you can follow. English is a second language for many of the people who write to us, so we write simply. When a Spanish term matters, such as trámite or resguardo, we say what it means straight away.
• A folder read twice. Each document is compared with what your procedure asks for while there is still time to fix it: a missing copy is easy to print at home and impossible to produce at the counter.
• Clear about who decides. Only the authorities decide on your papers: the police, the immigration office, the town halls. A private service like ours prepares you for them, and tells you plainly when a question needs a lawyer or a tax adviser.

Where we stand

NIE Las Palmas is a private business with no official role. It does not belong to the Policía Nacional, to the Delegación del Gobierno en Canarias or its Oficina de Extranjería, or to any town hall on the island, and none of them has endorsed it. Applications are decided by the authorities alone; we cannot hurry them. These pages are for information and do not replace legal advice.
